Code of Conduct

1. In traditional classes all instructors are to be called 'Sir' or 'Miss' at all times. In sport classes all Instructors are to be called 'Coach' at all times.

2. There is to be no swearing at any time or anywhere by any OTC representative whilst representing the club (including instructors and parents).

3. All OTC members must bow upon entering and leaving the dojang at all times.

4. All OTC members must wear a full uniform in all classes unless otherwise stated by an Instructor.

5. All equipment must be brought to classes at all times unless otherwise instructed.

6. All OTC dojangs are to be left clean and tidy by all members and parents. All club equipment must be put away at the end of the sessions and if borrowed for events, washed before return.

7. In classes hygiene is paramount - nails must be cut short to avoid lacerations, uniforms must be clean and any contagious conditions must be reported to an Instructor to avoid spreading among members (confidentiality will be kept at all times).

8. At events all OTC representatives must support every member of the team at all times when they compete.

9. At outside events all parents must supervise their children at all times unless they are being supervised by another parent or Instructor.

10. Instructors can be consulted privately about any decision made by them or any other OTC representative and voice their opinions (feedback is valued).

11. All OTC club representatives are to be treated with respect at all times.

12. All license and training fees must be paid on time. Unlicensed members cannot and will not be allowed to train, grade or compete in line with national governing body guidelines.

13. All members must attend 80% of traditional classes in between grading examinations to be allowed to grade.

14. No form of bullying (verbal, emotional, physical) will be tolerated at any time by OTC representatives. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a one week ban.

15. At one day events there will be no consumption of alcohol by any OTC representative. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a one month ban from the club.

16. At two (or more) day events there will be no consumpton of alcohol by any OTC representative until after the event has concluded. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a three month ban from the club (we can celebrate our victories after the job is done!).

17. Any OTC representative caught stealing or consuming illegal drugs AT ANY TIME will be permanently banned from the club.

18. Do not bring OTC into disrepute with public comments and extreme or violent remarks/intents to outside representatives including the use of social networking sites i.e. Facebook (let our actions do the talking for us!)

19. All club matters will be dealt with on a hieracy system leading from Assistant instructor to Head Instructor to Chief Instructor.

20. The decision of all Instructors within thier own dojangs is final. The decision of the Chief instructor in ALL club matters is final.
